Krautrock (Joy Unlimited/Te Deum/Jeronimo) in Kassel 10-07-1972 - raw version Venue: Stadttheater Kassel, Germany (and Jeronimo outside, in front of the Orangerie) Date: 10-07-1972 Lineage: Master-Cassette (Karstadt C 90, mono) > NAD Deck 602 > Soundcard /Audacity > wav > Flac > you Quality: poor(?) (in my opinion), but it's still raw! No Artwork This may be an interesting event with 3 less known German Kraut-Rock bands. Joy Unlimited published records from 1969 to 1974, Jeronimo 1969-73. I don't know anything about Te Deum! Joy Unlimited played Ballett-music this evening. This is my very first recording of a live concert. I can't remember too much of this evening. At first It was German Rockmusic in the Theater - a bit unusual at that times - and there was a decision to go outside with the last act that evening, and we could sit on the grassland at last. During the performance of Jeronimo I just felt like going back from the stage about 100 meters. So for 13 minutes the music is a a bit far away... I recorded the event just with a BASF-Recorder 9200 (or 9300?) and a cheap mikro. As I believe I copied "Paint It Black" vom another tape (so this piece is 1.gen), because I didn't like the rest of Te Deum not so much. There ar some short breaks - these are on the tape already, and they are caused by wrong mikrophone-handling as I think (switched off sometimes). This is in the beginning of Reflection (0:51), two times on Indian River (1:20, 1:40) and a few times on There Are People (2:45 up to 3:15). The Revolutions End is cut about in the middle! Setlist: Disc 1 1. Joy Unlimited - Reflections (incl. Motion Is Movement) 35:38 2. Te Deum - Tuning 0:38 2. Te Deum - Paint It Black 7:06 Disc 2 - Jeronimo 1. Intro 2:05 2. Indian River 11:52 3.
