Durst-Kapelle - "Lebend" Jan 1978 AJZ, Bielefeld and Odeon, Gütersloh (TRAP 12) This upload is approved by erwe (some time ago) This is part of a small series of POLIT ROCK recordings, documents of different bands, different kind of tapes. Therefore I asked Dime mods about uploading them who kindly allowed sharing all these (DURST, FLOH, TBK and BRÜHWARM). Political views are very different ranging from communistic, anarchistic, undogmatical left, gender to ecological based lyrics. Anyway, now that all political themes are still present this times I think it's suitable to share these stuff. I've never seen this stuff anywhere else, so these must be literally very rare. This series contains also (and I hope I get ready with them in 2010): DURST-KAPELLE - Lebend - Gütersloh, Bielefeld 1978 (TRAP 12) FLOH DE COLOGNE - Lucky Strike - Bielefeld 1972 OKTOBER - Die Pariser Commune - Bielefeld 1977 DIE SCHMETTERLINGE - Proletenpassion - Bielefeld 1977 TELLER BUNTE KNETE - demo tape - Berlin 1978 BRÜHWARM - Gütersloh 1978 an earlier one was: DIE 3 TORNADOS - Berlin, Umweltfestival 1978 (TRAP 13) Durst-Kapelle "Lebend" MC, stereo Label: "Stein-Hagel" TDK C60 original artwork (mc) included Date: January 1978 Venues: Arbeiterjugendzentrum (AJZ), Bielefeld, Germany + Odeon, Gütersloh-Isselhorst, Germany Lineage: tape > NAD Deck 602 (azimuth adjustment) > Realtek HD audio > Audacity (stereo, 32 bit, 44100 Hz) > wav > Traders little helper (flac, SBE-fixed) > Flac 8 Lebend: side 1: "Die deutsche Seite" - 29:57 1. guten abend 2. It contains lots of cover versions, naturally. The purpose of the bands congregation and spontaneous concerts was supporting political prisoners from Bielefeld which were accused being themselves supporters of german terrorists, obviously being innocent. I attended the appearence in the AJZ and bought the tape for 7 DM "plus Spende" from Aug 1978 on. There is no official release of this band. I contacted former members of the band, in fact the two persons who are still in business. I am glad that there are no objections from Dieter Schlensog ("Berserker") and Helmut Lemke. Both are still busy in art and music: NURNICHTNUR Kunst- und Musikproduktion www.nurnichtnur.de http://dieterschlensog.de/ http://www.sound-art.de/index.html The Durst-Kapelle was followed later in 1978 by the "Nach-Durst-Kapelle" (until 1980). I've smoothed all the transitions between the tracks, where there are squeeze noises because of stopping/starting the tape for the next track. It is not a seamless recording, but now it seems to be. I optimized the volume (-1 dB) and did nothing else. transferred and uploaded on Dime by trapper in Jan 2010 Don't miss anyone of this series! Hope you enjoy.
