Teller Bunte Knete - 1978 - Demo tape "Live In Berlin" (TRAP 16) / the german Lindisfarne - W/samples more vintage curiousities: TELLER BUNTE KNETE - the german Lindisfarne or "natural german kiezpop" (D.Berentzen) Type: Demo tape (MC) copy, mono Location: Berlin, Germany, probably all from 1978 Lineage: demo tape > ? > BASF ferro Super LH C60 > NAD Deck 602 (azimuth adjustement) > Realtek HD audio > audacity > wavelab > audacity > traders little helper > flac8 This upload is approved by erwe (some time ago) This one is part of a small series of POLIT ROCK recordings, documents of different bands, different kind of tapes. Therefore I asked Dime mods about uploading them who kindly allowed sharing all these (DURST, FLOH, TBK and BRÜHWARM). Political views are very different ranging from communistic, anarchistic, undogmatical left, gender to ecological based lyrics. Anyway, now that all political themes are still present this times I think it's suitable to share these stuff. I've never seen this stuff anywhere else, so these must be literally very rare. This series contains also (and I hope I finish them in 2010): DIE 3 TORNADOS - Berlin, Umweltfestival 1978 (TRAP 13) DURST-KAPELLE - Lebend - Gütersloh, Bielefeld 1978 (TRAP 12) FLOH DE COLOGNE - Lucky Strike - Bielefeld 1972 BRÜHWARM - Gütersloh 1978 OKTOBER - Die Pariser Commune - Bielefeld 1977 DIE SCHMETTERLINGE - Proletenpassion - Bielefeld 1977 So this is a copy from a demo tape and was the second of two. Typically I forgot completely about the circumstances of getting these tapes. Perhaps I made the copies by myself in Berlin with a cheap recorder (hum!). I called them "Live in Berlin '78" and sadly lost the other one, which was copied on a BASF CrO2 SM C60 Cassette, over the years. Here we have for sure some of the best songs of Teller Bunte Knete in their optimistic, alternative style; lovely songs for the political engaged "Stadtindianer" of those days still having some dreams. Two or three songs (auf Marihuana(?), Zaubermann(?) were never released officially as it seems but what the heck, all this is very rare today, no CD has been released from the 3 albums of Teller Bunte Knete so far. 1 Geh in den Morgen 4:25 2 ??? Los, komm mach mit 3:02 3 Sonnenlied 4:47 4 Adler 4:15 5 Frieden 5:21 6 Wege 3:05 7 Traumverkäufer 3:45 8 Kinderträume 2:50 9 Hoffnung 6:08 10 ??? auf Marihuana (Live) 7:58 11 ??? Zaubermann (Live) 9:36 Total Time: 55:11 min There are some tape issues on this recording (crackles, hum, hiss, lack of treble and clarity). I have compared the tonality on both channel and with the stereo and choose one channel. So this is straight mono. I applied DeClicker to remove a bit of the hum and furthermore removed the clicks/pops where it was still necessary and I was able to do it. Volume increased to -0,4 dB. Left the transitions between the tracks in the same lenght as got on the tape. Ein bisschen verträumt, voller Sehnsucht, immer wieder “Stadtmensch”... T.B.K. nahm einige MC´s auf und vertrieb diese während der zahlreichen Auftritte dieser Zeit.
